Press menu key (4) on the keypad.
Use the right key (2) to highlight the "SERVICE" menu. Press OK key (8) .
Enter the password "FFF2" and press OK key (8) .

Use the up/down arrow keys to select "CALIBRATIONS". Press OK key (8) .

After the OK key (8) is pressed, the "CALIBRATION TITLE" screen allows the upper limitation and the lower limitation to be set.

Tune the fan speed in order to meet the specification for the minimum fan speed. Press the right key (2) in order to increase the value. Press the left key (5) in order to decrease the value. Adjust the value until the reading from the multitach is within the specification.

Tune the fan speed in order to meet the specification for the maximum fan speed. Press the right key (2) in order to increase the value. Press the left key (5) in order to decrease the value. Adjust the value until the reading from the multitach is within the specification.

The calibration is complete. Press the cancel key (7) in order to exit the process of calibration.Reverse Fan (if equipped)
Position the machine on level ground.
Stop the engine.
Install tooling (C) onto the fan to monitor the fan speed.
Start the engine.

Place the machine controls at the following settings:
Engine speed dial "10"
AEC switch OFF
Heavy lift switch OFF (digging mode)
Gain/Response "CAT" (normal mode)Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Performance - Test (Engine Speed)" for engine rpm settings.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).Note: Ensure that the hydraulic lockout lever is in the LOCKED position.

Enter the password "FFF2" and press OK key (8) .

Use the up/down arrow keys to select "MAINTENANCE". Press OK key (8) .

Use the up/down arrow keys to select "REVERSE FAN". Press OK key (8) .
Follow the instructions in the monitor.
Ensure that the reverse fan performs the following procedure:
The engine and fan speed decrease.
After 20 seconds, the fan reverses.
After 1 minute, the engine and reverse fan speed return to max speed. Ensure that the reverse fan speed is 870 15 rpm.
After 6 minutes, the engine and reverse fan speed decrease.
After an additional 20 seconds, the fan returns to normal rotation.
The test is finished after a total of approximately 7 minutes.
