The pilot control lever for the bulldozer controls the movement of the bulldozer blade. The control may require adjustment to ensure that the lever pops back into the NEUTRAL position from the FLOAT position when the implement lockout switch is moved to the LOCKED position.Test Preparation
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Engage the parking brake.
Lower all of the implements.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
Verify that the implement lockout switch is in the UNLOCKED position.
Move the control levers through the full range of travel several times. This procedure should relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.
Make sure that the pressure in the entire hydraulic system has been released.Test Procedure
Start the engine.
Place the implement lockout switch in the UNLOCKED position.
Move the control lever to the FLOAT position. Remove your hand from the control handle. The bulldozer control handle should stay in the FLOAT position.
Place the implement lockout switch in the LOCKED position. The indicator light for the implement lockout should turn on.
The control lever should pop back into the NEUTRAL position when the implement lockout switch is activated. If the control lever does not pop back to the NEUTRAL position, the control valve should be adjusted.move detent plate (2) 0.25 mm (0.01 inch) away from the detent assembly (7). Retest the assembly. Repeat the procedure until the assembly is correct.Adjustment Procedure
Remove rubber boot (3) from bulldozer control lever (4) .
Move control handle (4) so the sharp edge of detent assembly (6) is just below the rib of detent plate (5) .
Position the rib of detent plate (5) as close to the sharp edge of detent assembly (6) as possible without allowing the two parts to touch.
Adjust detent plate (2) so sharp edge (6) is centered.
Adjust detent plate (2) in order to be parallel with sharp edge (6) .
Tighten the bolts that secure the detent plate. Tighten bolts to a torque of 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).
Move control lever (4) to the FLOAT position.
The tip of sharp edge (6) must ride on the upper side of the rib of detent plate (2) .
If sharp edge (6) does not ride on the upper side of the rib, add or subtract 200-5003 Shim (1) from detent plate (2). Retest the assembly. Repeat the adjustment procedure until the assembly is correct.
Install the rubber boot on the bulldozer control lever.
