Place Tooling (E) onto Tooling (C) .

Place Tooling (C) and (E) under the machine. Connect Tooling (D) to Tooling (C) .

Install a shim (5) the shim is 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) in width in order to distribute the weight evenly.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove step assembly (10). The weight of step assembly (10) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).

Note: It is important to keep the upper structure level when the upper structure is being removed from the undercarriage frame.Note: the weight of upper structure and the undercarriage frame will vary depending on the attachments. The weights that are listed below are only approximations.
Carefully, raise the upper structure from the undercarriage frame with Tooling (B) and Tooling (C) evenly. While raising the upper structure make sure that Tooling (B) and Tooling (C) stay within 38 mm (1.5 inch) from each other. The weight of the upper structure is approximately 24630 kg (54300 lb).
