Remove four bolts (7) and the washers that secure cover (8) to the bucket pin. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the bucket pin.
Assemble Tooling (A) and (D) according to Illustration 2.
Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to the bucket.

Attach Tooling (C), a suitable lifting device, and a hoist to the Tooling. The weight of the Tooling is 330 kg (728 lb). Attach the Tooling to pin (9). Remove pin (9) from the bucket and from the stick. The weight of pin (9) is 773 kg (1705 lb).
Remove the bucket from the machine. The weight of the bucket is 33575 kg (74020 lb).Installation Procedure

Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement. Lubricate the O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.
All bores must be free of paint. Lubricate all pin bores.
Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to the bucket. The weight of the bucket is 33575 kg (74020 lb). Position the bucket to the machine.
Assemble Tooling (A) and (B) according to Illustration 8.
Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to the Tooling. The weight of the Tooling is 275 kg (606 lb).

Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to pin (9). The weight of pin (9) is 773 kg (1705 lb). Use the Tooling to install pin (9) to the bucket and to the stick.
Install Tooling (C) (not shown) to pin (9). Use the Tooling to complete the installation of pin (9) .

Position cover (8) to the bucket. Install four bolts (7) and the washers to secure cover (8) to the bucket pin. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the bucket pin.

Attach a suitable lifting device to the bucket cylinder. Position the bucket cylinder to the bucket.
Install Tooling (C) (not shown) to pin (6). Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to pin (6). The weight of pin (6) is 50 kg (110 lb). Install pin (6) into the bucket cylinder and into the bucket.

Position cover (4) to bucket cylinder (5). Install four bolts (3) and the washers to secure cover (4) to bucket cylinder (5). Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the bucket cylinder.
