Actual Introduction
The following machine check will check the distance between the limit switch and the crank for the powered access stairway.Check Preparation
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position.
Activate the parking brakes. Stop the engine.
Permit only one operator on the machine. Either keep other personnel away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.
Place wheel chocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Make sure that the transmission is in the NEUTRAL position.
Make sure that all air pressure and oil pressure is released before any fittings, hoses, or components are worked on.
Push the brake pedal many times until there is no brake pressure.Check Procedure

Remove cover (1) on the top of the platform. Retain all hardware.

(B) Limit switch
Ensure that the distance between the crank (A) and limit switch (B) is approximately 0.5 0.5 mm (0.0197 0.0197 inch).Note: An incorrect distance could result in false stairway down alarms.
If the distance is not correct, adjust limit switch accordingly.
Resecure the cover to the top of the platform group.
