Refer to Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) for guard removal.
Loosen bolt (2) and nut (not shown) and loosen bolt (5).Note: On some applications the bolt (1) may need to be loosened to allow full movement of the alternator (4).
Move alternator (4) in towards the engine to loosen the belt (6).
Remove the old belt from application and install new belt (6) on to the crankshaft, water pump, and alternator pulleys. Ensure that the belt (6) is correctly installed on to all the belt pulleys.
Move the alternator (4) to tighten the belt and tighten all bolts and nuts securely. Check the belt tension. Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, Alternator and Fan Belt Inspect/Adjust for more information.Note: A new belt will require the tension checked again after 20 hours of operation.
