Remove bolt (1), bolts (2), bolt (3), bolt (4), and bolts (5).
Remove clamp (6) and bracket assembly (7).

Remove bolts (8) and camshaft cover (9).

Remove bolts (10) and camshaft cover (11) from each side of the engine. Remove camshaft timing pin from the storage location. Use the manual barring group in order to rotate the engine until the timing pins can be installed in the crankshaft and both camshafts.

Remove bolts (12) and speed-timing wheel (13).

Lock the manual barring group in order to prevent the engine from rotating when bolt (18) is loosened.
Remove the timing pins from the crankshaft and the camshafts.
Use Tooling (A) to loosen bolt (18).
Remove bolt (18) and washer (17).
Remove bolts (15) and plate (16).
Place washer (17) between the camshaft and plate (16) and install bolt (18). Note: Ensure that bolt (18) is installed in order to hold camshaft drive gear (14) when the camshaft drive gear (14) is pulled off the taper of the camshaft.
Tighten bolts (15) evenly in order to pull camshaft drive gear (14) off the taper of the camshaft.
Attach a suitable lifting device to camshaft drive gear (14).
Remove bolts (15), bolt (18), plate (16), washer (17), and camshaft drive gear (14). The weight of camshaft drive gear (14) is approximately 45 kg (99 lb).
