Ensure that the temperature of the hydraulic oil is at the normal operating temperature of approximately 49 to 65°C (120 to 150°F).
Enter the Implement Hydraulic Service Mode.ReferenceFor additional information about this mode, refer to the Service Manual module Troubleshooting, Testing and Adjusting, "Implement Hydraulic Service Mode".
Run the engine at high idle with the transmission in NEUTRAL. Note the steady state engine rpm.Note: In the following steps, do not keep the tilt control lever in the full TILT BACK position for more than five seconds while the pressure is at the relief setting.
With the engine speed at high idle, fully extend the tilt cylinder and hold the work tool in the full TILT BACK position.
Note the steady state engine rpm.Note: Once the engine rpm has stabilized, the engine rpm should agree with the reading that was noted in Step 3 within 10 rpm.If the engine rpm does not agree with the value in Step 3, release the hydraulic pressure and replace the tilt back line relief valve. Refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".Note: Installation torque for a new line relief valve is 100 10 N m (74 7 ft).If the engine rpm agrees with the value in Step 3, proceed to testing the dump line relief valve.Note: In the following steps, do not keep the tilt control lever in the full DUMP position for more than five seconds while the pressure is at the relief setting.
