1 424-8885 Lifting Eye 2
2 283-9355 Pin Assembly 2 Operation Section
Due to the weight of the 464-4886 Lifting Group, an overhead crane will be required to position it on to the 283-9325 Lifting Group (1 & 2) on the engine. To lift the engine, the 309-2793 Load Leveler Assembly and an overhead crane of suitable capacity must be used.
Illustration 8 g06021665
Illustration 9 g06021666
Connect the 424-8885 to the 283-9331 Lifting Bracket by installing the 283-9355 Pin Assembly on both ends of the engine.
Illustration 10 g06021678
The lifting points on the 309-2793 Load Leveler Assembly for the C175 High Altitude Engine are different than the lift points for a standard C175 Engine. For the C175 High Altitude Engine, the lifting points are 3 bolt holes in, on each side on the spreader bar. Attach either the 309-2794 Chain Group, or 310-7787 Wire Rope Group to the proper lift points shown in Figure 2.
Illustration 11 g06021684
To verify that the engine has been lifted in the correct position, and with the correct angle, check to see that the rear edge of the Lifting Device is flush with the edge of the snorkel as shown.
Illustration 12 g06021930
Lift the engine using the overhead crane. Note the engine angle of lift. The angle should be approximately 14 degrees with the flywheel end being lower than the front. The angle can be verified with the 437-5632 Digital protractor or similar device. Adjust the angle of the Load Leveler if necessary. This will provide proper entry for placement into the chassis of the 797 Off Highway Mining Truck.

Inspection
Illustration 14 g02701196
Inspect all components prior to each use for damage, bending, nicks, burrs, dents, cracks, bent, or worn parts. If damage is found, destroy the tool and dispose of as scrap. Replace damaged tool with new product.
Do not use unless the Working Load Limit (WLL) identification markings are legible.
Do not use if shackle holes are elongated or deformed.
Have tools inspected annually by an approved dealership inspector. Maintain a written record of all inspections.
Do not use if hardware is damaged or missing.Service Parts
