Remove the bolts from the covers for the screen housings, and store the bolts for reuse.
Remove the covers from the screen housings, and store the covers for reuse.

Clean the covers and the seals.
Inspect the seals. If the seals are defective, discard the seals.

Remove the springs from the housings, and store the springs for reuse.
Remove the screens from the housings, and store the screens for reuse.

Clean the screens in a clean, nonflammable solvent.

Install the clean screens in the housings.
Install the springs in the housings.

Install the cleaned or new seals and the covers on the housings.
Install the bolts, and tighten the bolts to the proper torque.

Install the drain plug, and tighten the plug to the proper torque.
Fill the hoist/brake tank with oil. For the proper procedure, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist and Brake Tank Oil Level - Change".
Start the engine, and operate the engine at low idle.

Check for leaks, and make any necessary repairs.

Stop the engine.
Check the oil level in the hoist/brake tank. For the proper procedure, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist and Brake Tank Oil Level - Check".Note: If the dump body was raised to perform this procedure, disconnect the body retaining cables from the tow point pins and lower the body. Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Cable (Truck Body Retaining)".
