The internal action alarm sounds for 0.5 seconds. The alert indicator, the high beam indicator and the parking brake indicator illuminate for 3 seconds. The Monitor will display the start up screen with the "CAT" logo for approximately 4 seconds.
After the "CAT" logo is displayed for 1 second, the yellow progress bar will begin moving from left to right. If the Upward Key, the Downward Key and the Home Key are pressed one at a time in order during the movement of the progress bar, the Monitor will display a separate service page.
If the Engine Control ECM determines that the start aid function is needed for engine starting, the Monitor will display the Start Aid symbol. The start up screen will continue to display with the Start Aid symbol as long as the start aid function is active.

During the power up sequence, the Monitor will not display event codes that have been activated with the exception of the "Invalid Key" event.

After the start up screen is displayed, the Monitor will display the default screen. The Monitor will check the maintenance hour intervals for the machine fluids and filters. If any of the configured maintenance hour intervals have been exceeded, the Monitor will display a "CHECK SERVICE HOURS" reminder for 10 seconds or until another screen is selected.
If any of the configured maintenance hour intervals have not been exceeded, the Monitor will display a "FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELT" reminder for 10 seconds or until another screen is selected.
