Position clutch assembly (1) onto a suitable press. Position retaining ring (25). Install Tooling (C). Use Tooling (C) and the suitable press in order to apply pressure to piston (26). Install retaining ring (25) .

Install ring seal (23) onto piston (22) .
Install seal ring (24), piston (22), wave spring (21), and thrust plate (20) into clutch assembly (1) .

Position clutch assembly (1) onto a suitable press. Position retaining ring (19). Install Tooling (C). Use Tooling (C) and the suitable press in order to apply pressure to thrust plate (20). Install retaining ring (19) .

Install the discs and clutch plates (18) into clutch assembly (1). Install backing plate (16) .

Position clutch assembly (1) onto a suitable press. Position retaining ring (17). Use Tooling (C) and the suitable press in order to apply pressure to backing plate (16). Install retaining ring (17) .

Install seal rings (14) onto shaft (15). Lower the temperature of bushing (13). Install bushing (13) to shaft (15) .
Position shaft (15) to clutch assembly (1). Install retaining ring (12) .

Install thrust bearing (7), drum assembly (8), and thrust bearing (9) into clutch assembly (1) .Note: Refer to the orientation of thrust bearing (7) and thrust bearing (9) during the disassembly procedure.

Install drum assembly (5) into clutch assembly (1). Install discs and clutch plates (11) into clutch assembly (1). Install retaining plate (10) and retaining ring (6) into clutch assembly (1) .

Install thrust bearing (4) and position gear assembly (3) to clutch assembly (1). Install retaining ring (2) .Note: Refer to the orientation of thrust bearing (4) during the disassembly procedure.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to clutch assembly (1). The weight of clutch assembly (1) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to install clutch assembly (1) .End By:
If equipped, install the pump drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pump Drive - Install".
Install the speed sensors. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Speed Sensor (Transmission) - Remove and Install".
Install the transmission charge pump and support. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Charge Pump and Support - Remove and Install".
