Introduction
This procedure will insure the proper over travel adjustment of the left-hand armrest limit switch. If the switch is not properly adjusted, armrest hinge/latch wear can cause intermittent actuation.Required Tools

Before any tests are performed, prepare the machine. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation". Before any tests are performed, visually inspect the complete hydraulic system for oil leaks and damaged parts. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Visual Inspection".The tests for the hydraulic system should be done in the following order. In order for the hydrostatic system to function correctly, each component in the system must be set to the correct specifications. Start by placing the left-hand pod in the full down latched position. The adjuster housing striker should be fully captive in the latch.

(A) 4 mm (0.16 inch) shim
Use a 4 mm (0.16 inch) shim (A) to measure the gap between the lever arm (3) and switch housing (4). The shim (A) should not slide through.
If the 4 mm (0.16 inch) shim (A) can slide between the switch lever arm and housing, while the adjuster housing striker is latched, then adjustment/repair must be made. Adjusting the Limit Switch

With fasteners loosened, rotate the bracket assembly (1) counterclockwise toward the limit switch assembly (2). Also, push the limit switch assembly (2) toward the bracket assembly (1). This process ensures proper switch operating position.
Torque the switch assembly screws to 0.7 0.15 N m (0.5 0.1 lb ft). Torque the bracket assembly screws to 28 7 N m (20.7 5.2 lb ft).
