ACTION REQUIRED
If the muffler group has cracked and failed, replace the muffler group with a new muffler group of the same part number. The new muffler groups have a bracket welded around the inlet and scavenge areas in order to increase the muffler strength.
Then replace the 237-0976 Plate Assembly with a new 247-4001 Plate Assembly. The new plate assembly is needed to add a ninety degree bend to the top of the plate for increased stiffness.
