Information:
Early Machines
Loosen bleed screw and allow moisture and sediment to drain. Tighten screw.Later Machines
Open hand operated drain valve and allow moisture and sediment to drain. Close valve.(5)Engine Crankcase
Machine must be level with bowl lowered and parking brake applied.
1. Engine oil level can be measured with engine stopped. Level must be in SAFE STARTING RANGE on ENGINE STOPPED side of dipstick. Level can be measured... 2. ...with engine running. Level must be between ADD and FULL marks on ENGINE RUNNING side of dipstick. 3. Remove filler plug and add oil if necessary.
Do not overfill engine crankcase.
4. Install filler plug.(6)Elevator Hangers
Total 8 fittings. Lubricate 2 fittings at each lower elevator hanger. Lubricate 2 fittings at each upper elevator hanger.(7)Elevator Rollers And Upper Bearing
Total 5 fittings. Lubricate 1 fitting in each lower carrier roller. Lubricate 1 fitting in each upper carrier roller. Lubricate 1 fitting in upper right hand bearing hanger.(8)Door Roller Bearings
Total 8 fittings. Lubricate 4 fittings on each side of ejector floor.(9)Tires
Use a self-attaching air chuck and stand behind tread of tire when inflating.
Improperly inflated tires can cause uneven wear and excessive heat buildup. This can result in accelerated wear and blowouts.
Check inflation pressure. Add air if necessary.(10)Horizontal Pivot Bearings
Later Machines
Lubricate 8 fittings located on the block on the right hand side of the hitch. Earlier Machines
Lubricate a total of 4 fittings. Lubricate front bearings at 2 fitting on right side of hitch. Lubricate rear bearings through 2 fittings on right side of hitch.(11)King Bolt Bearings
Total 3 fittings. Lubricate upper bearing through 1 fitting on left side of hitch for earlier machines, and on right side of hitch for later machines. Lubricate lower bearing through 2 fittings on left side of hitch for earlier machines, and on right side of hitch for later machines.(12)Hitch Link Bearings
Later Machines
Lubricate the upper link bearings through 2 fittings on each side of the hitch.Total 4 fittings.Early Machines
Lubricate 4 fittings on each side of hitch for link bearings.Total 8 fittings.(13)Ejector Channel Rollers
Total 2 fittings. Lubricate 1 fitting at each roller.(14)Steering Cylinders And Link Bearings
Total 14 fittings. Lubricate 4 fittings on each rear steering link and 1 fitting on rod end of steering cylinder on each side. Lubricate 2 fittings on each side of hitch for front steering link bearings.(15)Batteries
Batteries give off flammable fumes that can explode. Do not smoke when observing electrolyte level.Electrolyte is an acid and can cause personal injury if it contacts skin or eyes.
At proper charging rate, in a moderate climate, battery will not require more than 2 ounces (60 cc) of water per cell every 2 weeks. 1. Unlatch and open battery box cover. 2. Clean top of batteries with a clean cloth. Keep terminals clean and coated with petroleum jelly. 3. Inspect electrolyte level in each cell of batteries. Maintain level to bottom of filler openings with water.4. Close cover.(16)Hydraulic System
Machine must be level, bowl lowered, ejector to the rear, hydraulic oil cold and engine stopped.
1. Observe hydraulic oil level. 2. Level should be between ADD and FULL marks
