Remove the transmission control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Control - Remove". Note: Check the condition of all seals and of all components. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Remove bolts (2).
Remove cover (1).

Remove piston (5), spacer (4) and spring (3).

Remove valve (7).
Remove O-ring seals (6).

Use Tooling (A) and remove ring (17).
Remove retainer (16), spring (15) and plunger (14) from spool (13).
