Information:

This diagnostic code is recorded when the ECM detects that a sensor needs calibration. The Lift Lever Position Sensor is a PWM sensor that operates at a frequency of approximately 500Hz 100Hz. The sensor sends a PWM signal to the ECM. The duty cycle of the signal will vary from 7.5% to 92.5%.System Response:
Lift Kickouts will not work properly.
Float will not work properly.Note: Before performing this procedure, verify that no other active CID 0352 diagnostic codes exist for the sensor. If any other diagnostic codes are active for the sensor, correct the problem before performing this procedure.Test Step 1. CALIBRATION
Perform the calibration procedure for the sensor. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Calibration" section of this manual for the correct calibration procedure.Expected Result:The calibration procedure was performed successfully. Results:
OK - The calibration procedure was performed successfully. Resume normal machine operationSTOP
NOT OK - The calibration was not successful.Repair: Repeat the calibration procedure for the sensor. If the second calibration procedure is not successful, replace the lift lever position sensor. After replacement of the sensor, the new parameters of the position sensor MUST be entered in Cat® Electronic Technician before the machine can be operated. After sensor replacement, refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Calibration" Story in this manual for the correct procedure. If the problem is still present after replacement and calibration of the new sensor, the ECM may have failed.Prior to replacing an ECM, always contact the Technical Communicator at your dealership for possible consultation with Caterpillar. This consultation may greatly reduce repair time. If the cause of the diagnostic code is not found, replace the ECM.
