PROBLEM
The existing U-cup seal can wear out prematurely or the spring can be damaged, due to high pressures and rod side-loading, on certain 785C Off-Highway Trucks. Damage or wear to the U-cup seal leads to a loss of strut charge.

ACTION REQUIRED
Implement a new U-cup seal. This requires modification of the seal groove in the current gland to accomodate the new larger seal. The new 390-6823 U-Cup Seal will replace the current 329-8979 U-Cup Seal. Refer to Image1 strut gland print mark-up attached.
