This Program must be administered as soon as possible.When reporting the repair, use "PI31490" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Codeand "T" as the SIMS Description code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI31490" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number,"96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

PROBLEM
Some engines were labeled with 7C-1449 Emissions Exemption Labels. These engines need to be checked to verify they are programmed with production software and the exemption label has been removed.

ACTION REQUIRED
1. Connect caterpillar ET to verify the engine contains production software (Reference current flash file on SISWeb).
2. Flash production software if necessary.
3. If the 7C-1449 Emissions Exemption Label is installed, remove the exemption label.
4. Verify proper emissions label is installed. If emissions label is not installed a label needs to be ordered and installed. Order at https://truck.cat.com (Refer to Image1 - Image3).
