226-2381 Tube     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.Note: This procedure can be done with Tooling (A) and (B) or Tooling (C) .

Install Tooling (B) to differential (9). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B). Lower the differential on Tooling (A). Install Tooling (A). The weight of differential (9) is approximately 318 kg (700 lb).

Use Tooling (C) to install differential (9). The weight of differential (9) is approximately 318 kg (700 lb).

Install differential (9). Remove Tooling (A) from differential (9). Install the remaining three nuts (8) .

Remove Tooling (C) from differential (9) .

Install nine of the twelve nuts (8) .

Install valve (7) and install bolts (5) .
Position tube assembly (3) to the original location. Connect tube assembly (3). Connect hose assembly (4) to clip (2). Connect hose assembly (1) .Note: The bolts for tube assembly (3) must be replaced.
Connect harness assembly (6) .End By:
Install the axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle - Remove and Install".
Install the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission - Install".
