1. As soon as the engine starts, observe the engine oil pressure indicator (1) on the EMS panel. Keep the engine speed low until the engine oil pressure indicator is switched off. If the indicator is not switched off within 10 seconds, stop the engine and investigate the cause before starting again. Failure to do so can cause engine damage.2. Observe the brake oil pressure indicator (2) on the EMS panel. Do not attempt any machine movement until the indicator goes out.3. Observe all other gauges and indicators. All gauges should indicate in the proper range. Indicators should be on or off according to their function.Allow a cold engine to warm up at low idle for at least five minutes to warm the oil. At very low temperatures warm up time may exceed 5 minutes. Observe the following recommendations: * In temperatures above 0° C (+32° F), warm up time is approximately 5 minutes.* In temperatures from -18° C to 0° C (0° F to +32° F), warm up time is approximately 10 minutes.* In temperatures below -18° C (0° F), warm up time is at least 15 minutes. Cold hydraulic oil increases the effort required to turn the steering wheel. Do not drive the machine until the hydraulic oil is warm enough to give normal steering response.Use the last half of this warm up time to warm the hydraulic oil by moving the body hoist control to the LOWER position with the body lowered onto the frame.Immediately following the warm up period turn the steering wheel to fully articulate the machine several times in both directions.
