Removal Procedure
Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Remove fuel filters (secondary) (7). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace" for the correct draining and filling procedure.
Disconnect temperature sensor assembly (1). Disconnect pressure sensor assembly (2). Disconnect hose assembly (5) and hose assembly (6). Remove bolts (3) and fuel filter base (4). Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter (secondary) (7) and fuel filter base (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Lightly apply lubricant being sealed to the bores. Tighten fuel filters (secondary) (7) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft).
Tighten temperature sensor assembly (1) to a torque of 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).
Tighten pressure sensor assembly (2) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
