On certain M300D update Series with Stage IIIb Aftertreatment system the temperature increase in front of the DPF is too low during regeneration at high engine speed (speed dial 8, 9 or 10).This results in an DPF regeneration failure event code EID 593 "Aftertreatment Insufficient Temperature to Complete Regeneration". There are three possible reasons, why a machine cannot reach the required temperature in a certain time, leading to the same EID 593 code.
Fault at the thermocouple in front of DPF 389-5624 Temperature Sensor
Low performance of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst 416-5035 Catalytic Converter As. This is mainly seen at machines with more than 700 SMU hours.
Worn HC dosing pump 360-8918 Fuel Pump As. This is mainly seen at machines with less than 700 SMU hours.Solution
