Install spring (35) and seat (34) .

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Use a suitable press in order to compress the spring. Install retaining ring (23) .

Note: Lubricate piston assemblies (29) and plate (30) with clean hydraulic oil.
Install plate (30) and piston assemblies (29) .
Wrap a piece of nylon string around the pistons of rotating group (28) , as shown.

Use the nylon string to hold rotating group (28) together during installation. Remove the nylon string.

Note: Spacer (26) must be ground to the dimension that was determined in Step 8.d. The faces of spacer (26) must be parallel within 0.050 mm (0.0020 inch). This must be done for proper pump operation.
Install spacer (26) .

Note: Lubricate bearing cone (27) with clean hydraulic oil.
Install O-ring seals (25) and bearing cone (27) , as shown.

Install port plate (22) .
Install the piston, the spacer, and guide (23) .
Install the plunger, the spring, and cylinder (21) .Note: Lubricate port plate (22) with clean hydraulic oil. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the back side of port plate (22) to aid in installation.
Install O-ring seals (22) and port plate (22) .

Note: Head assembly (20) must be installed to the position that was marked in the disassembly procedure.
Carefully install head assembly (20) . Install four bolts (19) . Torque bolts (19) to a torque of 165 30 N m (120 20 lb ft).

Use bolt (18) in order to install carrier (17) .
Assemble power compensator valve (4) , as follows:

Install stem (10) , piston (9) , retainer (8) , and spring (7) . Install O-ring seal (6) on plug (5) . Install plug (5) .
Install retainer (11) , spring (12) , and O-ring seal (13) . Install plug (15) in adjuster (14) . Install adjuster (14) and nut (16) .

Install solenoid assembly (1) . Tighten the solenoid assembly (1) to a torque of 38 3 N m (28 2 lb ft). Install tube assemblies (2) . Install power compensator valve (4) . Install pressure and flow compensator valve (3) . Tighten the bolts for the pressure and flow compensator valve to a torque of 12 N m (106 lb in).
