(1) Torque for 24 9X-8480 Bolts ... 1060 125 N m (780 90 lb ft)Apply 154-9731 Thread Lock Compound on the threads of the 24 9X-8480 Bolts prior to assembly. (2) Apply 4C-9506 Retaining Compound on the 185-0778 Thrust Washer (7) and on 185-0751 Carrier (6) prior to assembly. (4) At assembly, O-rings of floating seal and all surfaces in contact with the O-rings must be clean and dry. Apply a thin coat of oil on the contacting surfaces of the metal seals before installation. (5) Degrease the threads on 185-0701 Motor Housing (4) and on 185-0759 Shaft Nut (2) with 138-8441 Brake Cleaner prior to assembly. Rotate 185-0769 Ring Gear (3) in one direction only during the setting of the tapered roller bearings.
