High tension power is generated in the power circuit of the magnet. It will remain even after the machine is stopped.Before touching the electrical equipment, wiring or terminals for inspection, maintenance or repair, stop the engine and put the discharge switch in the LM power box in the "Discharge" position. Then make sure that the condenser voltmeter in the LM power box reads "0 V". Failure to do so could result in electrical shock or burns.
After completion of inspection, maintenance and repair, put the discharge switch in the "Operation" position. This will allow the operation of the magnet. Strong magnetic force may cause damage to magnetic cards, watches and clocks, and malfunction of pacemakers. Keep magnetically sensitive objects away from the magnet during operation. The magnet and the LM power box may become very hot during operation and immediately after operation. If touched, burns could occur. Do not touch any part of the magnet and in the LM power box when they are hot.
