CRANKSHAFT AS 0R9739 - Caterpillar

Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Open access door (1). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Release two clamps (2) .

Open fan assembly (3) .

Remove cotter pin (4) and the pin. Disconnect the power actuator.

Place Tooling (A) under rear crankcase guard (6), as shown.
Remove two bolts (5) and the washers.

Place Tooling (B) under rear crankcase guard (6), as shown.
Remove bolt (7), the washer, and the pin. Repeat this process for the opposite side.
Carefully lower Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) in order to lower rear crankcase guard (6). The weight of rear crankcase guard (6) is 205 kg (450 lb).Installation Procedure

Install Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) under rear crankcase guard (6), as shown. Carefully raise Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) in order to install rear crankcase guard (6). The weight of rear crankcase guard (6) is 205 kg (450 lb).
Install two bolts (5) and the washers.
Install pin (7), the bolt, and the washer. Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Connect the power actuator. Install the pin and cotter pin (4) .

Close fan assembly (3) .

Engage two clamps (2) .
