Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Start By:
Remove the nitrogen oxide sensor.
Remove the exhaust elbow.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Disconnect tube assembly (1).
Remove clips (2) and disconnect hose assemblies (3).
Disconnect harness assembly (4).

Attach a suitable lifting device to clean emissions module (5). The weight of clean emissions module (5) is approximately 249 kg (550 lb).

Remove bolts (6) and (7) from clean emission module (5). Remove clean emission module (5).

Remove bolts (9) and frame assembly (8).Installation Procedure
Install clean emissions module (5) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal for the diesel exhaust fluid line (not shown).
