START BY:a) separation of tractor and scraper 1. Install cables and a hoist to the draft frame as shown. 2. Put identification on all hydraulic and air lines between the draft frame and the scraper for assembly purposes.3. Disconnect four hydraulic lines (1) from carry check valve (2). 4. Fasten a hoist to the valve and cylinder assemblies. Remove bolts, bars (3) and pin assemblies (4) and lower assemblies to the floor of the bowl. Weight of the cylinders is 79 kg (175 lb.). 5. Disconnect hydraulic (5) and air lines (6). 6. Remove bolts (8) and retainer (7) from each side of the bowl. 7. Remove pins on each side of bowl with a brass punch. The pins (10) are tapered. Remove draft frame (9). The weight of the draft frame is 2699 kg (5950 lb.). 8. If necessary remove the bearings from the draft frame with tooling (A).Install Scraper Draft Frame
1. Install bearings (1) in draft frame with tooling (A). The bearings are installed even (flush) with the edge of the draft frame. 2. Use a hoist to put draft frame (2) in position and install pins (3). Install retainers to hold the draft frame pins. 3. Connect hydraulic (4) and air lines (5) from the draft frame to the scraper bowl. 4. Install a strap and a hoist on the bowl cylinders (8). Install pins (7), bars (6) and bolts. 5. Install four hydraulic lines (9) to the carry check valve.6. Remove hoist and cables from the draft frame.
