1. Center parking brake cable assembly bulkhead (6) on swivel end (C) of cable, on firewall bracket (8). Tighten bulkhead nuts (7) to a torque of 38 7 N m (28 5 lb ft).2. Extend cable completely to end (D), and maintain cable assembly in this position during Steps 3 and 4. Tighten nuts (11) to a torque of 38 7 N m (28 5 lb ft).3. With the parking brake valve and linkage in the brake ENGAGED position (A), thread rod end (3) onto cable end (C) until the hole in rod end (3) is in aligned with the hole in lever assembly (4).4. Thread rod end (3) onto cable assembly (9) towards end (D) an additional ten full turns approximately 8.0 mm (.31 in).5. If necessary, reposition cable bulkhead (6) on firewall bracket (8) to achieve the correct positioning of rod end (3) as described in Step 3.6. Tighten jamnut (5) onto rod end (3) to a torque of 8 3 N m (6 2 lb ft).7. Install clevis pin (1) and cotter (2). Install knob (10).
