Attach suitable lifting devices to rear suspension cylinder (5) . The weight of rear suspension cylinder (5) is approximately 862 kg (1900 lb).
Apply NLGI#0 GREASE onto the bearing bores.
Position rear suspension cylinder (5) . Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device in order to install pin (9) . The weight of pin (9) is approximately 80 kg (176 lb).

Position plate (8) and install bolts (7) .

Raise rear suspension cylinder (5) in order to secure Tooling (C) .
Remove suitable lifting devices and position rear suspension cylinder (5) with Tooling (C) .
Apply NLGI#0 GREASE onto the bearing bores.
Use Tooling (D) (not shown) and a suitable lifting device in order to install pin assembly (4) in order to secure rear suspension cylinder (5) . The weight of pin assembly (4) is approximately 80 kg (176 lb).
Remove Tooling (C) .

Position plate (3) and install bolts (2) .

Connect harness assembly (1) and install the clip.
If necessary, repeat Steps 1 through 11 for the other rear suspension cylinder.

Remove all suitable blocking. Lower the machine with Tooling (A) .

Remove vent plugs (10) from rear suspension cylinder (5) . Use Tooling (E) in order to apply gear oil to grease fittings (11) until the vent passages are filled and the gear oil is evident at the vent holes. Install vent plugs (10) .Note: For arctic conditions, fill grease fittings (11) with SAE 75W-140 synthesized gear lubricant.

Remove vent plugs (12) from the lower part of rear suspension cylinder (5) .
Use Tooling (E) in order to apply gear oil to grease fittings (13) until the vent passages are filled and the gear oil is evident at the vent holes. Install vent plugs (12) .Note: For arctic conditions, fill grease fittings (13) with SAE 75W-140 synthesized gear lubricant.
Read all Warning labels on the suspension cylinders before servicing.The machine must be on level ground before releasing the nitrogen pressure.Do not check the oil in the suspension cylinder until all of the nitrogen pressure has been released.Do not remove valves, covers, or plugs from the cylinder unless the rod is fully retracted and all of the nitrogen pressure as been released.Stand clear of the machine during suspension cylinder charging, discharging, or testing and adjusting procedures, or while lifting or lowering the machine.Sudden movement upward or downward can cause clearance to change rapidly.Failure to heed this Warning could lead to injury or death.
Charge the suspension cylinder. Refer to Special Instruction, SEHS9411, "Servicing the Suspension Cylinders for Off-Highway Trucks".
