Rear Suspension Cylinder Shop Inspectionand Deburr Procedure
INSPECT FOR POTENTIAL PRESENCE OF BURRS:
Inspect for presence of any sharpedges on all components shown, around entire circumferences. In additionto inspecting for sharp edges, inspect for hanging burrs. Also, for anyindication of staining or rust inside cylinder bore.Cylinder Assembly

Photo 2. Inspect (2) groove edges andedge of cap ID located at bottom of cylinder bore.
Photo 3. Inspect edge of chamfer at boltcircle end of Cylinder Assembly.
Rod Assembly

Photo 5. Inspect (2) edges of wear bandgroove.
Head
Photo 6. Shows view of Head.
Photo 7. Inspect (4) edges of seal grooves,plus Head end.
DEBURRING and CLEANING PROCESS:
If presence of burrs is detectedin any of above locations, the burrs must be ground away. After deburring,thoroughly clean Cylinder Assembly, Rod Assembly (both inside and outside),and Head. Use power-wash to remove deburr particle debris and any otherprevious contaminants that may still be present.
