CRANKSHAFT 7S5128 - Caterpillar

1. Loosen clamp (2) and disconnect hose (1).2. Loosen clamp (3). 3. Remove four bolts (5) and the washers, and remove precleaner body assembly (4). 4. Remove two bolts (7) and the washers securing air transfer pipe assembly (6).
After the removal of the air cleaner group, cover the elbow connected to the air inlet side of the turbocharger to protect the turbocharger from dirt and debris.
5. Remove bolts (8) and the washers. Disconnect air transfer pipe assembly (6) from the elbow connected to the air inlet side of the turbocharger. Remove air cleaner group (9) and air transfer pipe assembly (6) as a unit from the engine. Weight of the unit is 20 kg (44 lb). Install the air cleaner group in the reverse order of the removal.
