Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the fan group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Group (Includes Fan, Fan Guard, Fan Shroud, and Hydraulic Fan Motor) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position the fan group onto suitable cribbing. The weight of the fan group is approximately 147 kg (325 lb).
Attach a suitable lifting device to fan assembly (1). The weight of fan assembly (1) is approximately 102 kg (225 lb).

Remove center bolts (5), bolts (4), fan guard (2), bolts (6), and fan guard (3).

Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove fan assembly (1) and position fan assembly (1) onto suitable cribbing.
