Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the pilot-overspeed valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pilot-Overspeed Valve - Remove".

Disassemble the pilot valve stem.
Remove the two bolts that hold plate (1) in place. Remove pilot stem (5) from the valve body.
Place spring (3) under compression, and remove retainers (2) and (4) from the stem. Remove spring (3) from the stem.
If a replacement is necessary, remove rod end (6) from the stem.
Disassemble the overspeed valve spool.
Remove plug (10), spring (9), spool (8), and piston (7) from the valve body.
Loosen the locknut on adjusting screw (12), and remove adjusting screw (12), washer (11), and the seal from plug (10) .
