Remove Air Inlet Manifold
1. Remove the fuel injection lines. Plug or cap all lines or openings.2. Disconnect the hose (1) from the crankcase ventilator valve assembly.3. Remove air inlet manifold mounting bolts (2). Remove the air inlet manifold (3).
AIR INLET MANIFOLD
1. Hose. 2. Mounting bolts (eight, four each side). 3. Air inlet manifold.4. Tape inlet ports in cylinder heads to prevent foreign material from entering engine.
INLET PORT TAPEDInstall Air Inlet Manifold
1. Remove tape from inlet ports in cylinder heads.2. Clean the air inlet manifold gasket mounting surfaces. Install the gaskets.3. Install the air inlet manifold and mounting bolts.4. Tighten bolts (3) and (4) to 15 5 lb.ft. (2.0 0.7 mkg). Then tighten all bolts by number sequence to 32 5 lb.ft. (4.4 0.7 mkg).
TIGHTENING SEQUENCE5. Connect the hose to the crankcase ventilator valve assembly.6. Remove caps or plugs from all lines or openings. Install the fuel injection lines. To tighten refer to the topic, Install Fuel Injection Lines.
