Adjust Charge Pressure
Illustration 1581. Remove the hydraulic pump compartment cover (1).
Illustration 159Machine Partially Disassembled for Photographic Purposes.2. Hold adjustment screw (2), and loosen locknut (3). 3. Turn adjustment screw (2) clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the charge pressure.4. Tighten locknut (3) while holding adjustment screw (2).5. Test the charge pressure. Repeat Steps 2 through 4, if necessary.6. Replace hydraulic pump compartment cover (1).Test Flushing Relief Pressure
Ensure that charge pressure is within specification before the flushing relief pressure is tested.1. Operate the machine until the hydraulic oil temperature reaches 38°C (100°F).2. Stop the engine.
Illustration 1603. Open hydraulic pump compartment access door (1). The cover of the hydraulic pump compartment can be removed to provide better access to the conveyor pump.
Illustration 161Machine Partially Disassembled for Photographic Purposes.4. Install a suitable pressure gauge on the charge pressure tap (2).
Illustration 1625. Start the engine, and use lift switches (4) to raise the casters so the conveyor is off of the ground.6. Move throttle switch (3) to HI, and operate the engine at high idle.7. Move loader switch (5) in both operator stations to ON, and read the pressure on the gauge. Move at least one loader switch to OFF after the pressure has been recorded.8. Move throttle switch (3) to LO, and allow the engine to run at low idle to cool. The throttle switch in both operator stations must be in LO to operate the engine at low idle.9. Stop the engine, and if necessary, adjust the flushing relief pressure.10. Remove the pressure gauge.Adjust Flushing Relief Pressure
Ensure that charge pressure is within specification before the flushing relief pressure is adjusted.
Illustration 1631. Remove the hydraulic pump compartment cover (1).
