Remove the drive axle shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Remove and Install".
Remove the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install".

Put Tooling (A) in position under the rear main frame of the machine. Lift the rear of the machine with Tooling (A). The weight of the machine should be on Tooling (A) .

Remove yoke assembly (3) from the rear differential. Yoke assembly (3) is a slip fit.

Remove bolts (4) from the junction blocks on each side of the rear main frame.

Disconnect tube assembly (5) that is connected to the grease fitting on top of the front support.
Fasten a suitable floor jack (8) to front support (7) .
Remove bolts (6), the nuts and washers that attach front support (7) to the rear main frame.
Remove the front support from the differential. The weight of the front support is 102 kg (224 lb).

Remove the bolts and washers that attach the retainer to the front support. Remove the retainer and the gasket from the front support.
Remove O-ring seals (10) and sleeve bearing (9) from the front support.
If necessary, remove the two locating dowels from the front support.

Remove bolts (11) and the washers that attach the rear differential and bevel gear to the rear axle housing.

Fasten a suitable floor jack to rear differential and bevel gear (12) .
Pull the rear differential and bevel gear out of the rear axle housing. Turn the complete unit clockwise.
Lift the rear of the machine with Tooling (A). The machine should be approximately 229 mm (9 inch) off the floor. Remove rear differential and bevel gear (12) from the machine. The weight of rear differential and bevel gear (12) is 415 kg (915 lb).
Remove the O-ring seal from the carrier assembly of the rear differential.
