D330C, D333C, 3304, And 3306 Marine EnginesDescription of Change: A change has been made to the power take-off adapter housing used on D330C, D333C, 3304 and 3306 Marine Engines. It was possible for the vendor's trademark and the part number on the casting to make contact with the outer edge of the flange on the oil pan before the adapter was completely installed. If the adapter was forced on (put on with force) stress around the areas of the mounting bolts resulted. In time, the adapter cracked in these areas because the material fatigued (became weak because of stress). The part number and vendor's trademark have been moved to a new location on the adapter. This change will prevent contact between the components during installation.
Adaptable As: Direct replacement. The part number of the 3N1332 Power Take-Off Adapter Housing did not change. The former 3N1332 Power Take-Off Adapter Housing can be used if the casting marks (part number and vendor's trademark) are removed.
