Removal Procedure
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect tube assemblies (1) and (3). Remove bolt (2).

Disconnect tube assembly (4).

Remove bolts (5).

Disconnect tube assembly (6).

Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (7). Remove bolts (8).

Remove bolts (9) from turbocharger (7).
Remove bolts (10). Remove turbocharger (7). The weight of turbocharger (7) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb).
