Illustration 4 g03329465The fuel level sensor is an analog sensor. The sensor has a float on a lever arm which floats on the surface of the fuel. As the fuel level changes, the angle of the lever arm changes. Changes in the angle of the lever arm, adjust the resistance in the sensor. The ECM detects the changes in resistance as voltage changes, and the ECM interprets that as a change in fuel level.Heated Mirrors Switch

When the switch is placed into either the increment or decrement states, the corresponding ECM contact is momentarily connected to ground. When the switch is not being activated, the ECM contacts float to a high voltage state. The ECM determines the operator request from this switch and then changes the output level accordingly.Crank Lockout Switch

When the crank lockout switch is not engaged, the machine functions normally with the starter being controlled by the key switch. When the switch is activated, power is provided to the ECM the same as a key ON position, but the starter cannot be activated. The switch is a two pole switch. The ECM contact floats to a high voltage state when the switch is open and is pulled to a low voltage state when the switch is closed. Machine Lockout Switch
