MMS Communications Messages
Three messages and their corresponding hexadecimal Remote Procedure Call (RPC) values that are used in the MMS interface are shown in Table 1.
Table 1
FROM_MMS_CAES_DONE     0x0630
FROM_MMS_CAES_TRUCK     0x0631
TO_MMS_CAES_LOAD     0x0632    Note: RPC is a protocol for requesting a service from a program that is located in a remote computer through the network without having to understand the specifics of the network. This remote procedure is used as a message identifier and causes an action in an application. The TO_MMS_CAES_LOAD (0x0632) message syntax includes the following:
2 byte RPC
2 byte sequence number
NULL terminated string that is the material name. Max or 20 bytes (8 for material name, 12 for extended text)
1 byte dipper count
1 byte GPR accuracy flag
1 byte source =2
4 bytes average X dipper location
4 bytes average Y dipper location
4 bytes average Z dipper location
Set to a NULL (Optional string comment)The FROM_MMS_CAES_TRUCK (0x0631) message syntax, which provides a truck name to CAES, includes the following:
2 byte RPC
2 byte sequence number
NULL terminated string contains the truck name. The FROM_MMS_CAES_DONE (0x0630) message syntax contains the following:
2 byte RPC
2 byte sequence numberCAES sends the TO_MMS_CAES_ LOAD (0x0632) message in response to the FROM_MMS_CAES_TRUCK and FROM_MMS_CAES_DONE messages from MMS.CAES also responds to MMS pings(RPC 0x0200), with one of the responses listed in Table 2.
Table 2
RPC_RESULT     0xffff
RPC_ACK     0xfffe
RPC_ERR     0xfffd    The response sent back by CAESultra includes the following information:
XYZ position
MMS load requested flag
Material name
Extended text informationCAES determines the material name based on the DXF color definitions and descriptions that are in the machine configuration file. The color is determined from the Material ID. After the color is determined, the description is determined from the color. The extended text is derived from the material design file.Note: If the MMS keys are configured, then CAESultra will also send load information to MMS when a CAES send truck command occurs.$ Include TPI Material Name - Used in order to specify the included materials that are identified by a third-party interface. When this key is present, the materials identified by MMS are included in the MineStar load report. The Material Identity is included in the Productivity File.ReferenceFor additional information about this key, refer to Systems Operation, KENR6338, "MineStar Configuration File".CAESultra and MMS Interface Checks
MMS message reports can be enabled in the DiagMsgeLog file.$ MMS Log CAES Output - Records the CAES output to MMS in the DiagMsgeLog file.$ MMS Log MMS Output - Records the information from MMS to CAES in the DiagMsgeLog file. The following illustrates the format of the reports that are written to the DiagMsgeLog file when both of the $ MMS Log keys are enabled:
1148945382, 11:29:42, 41085, CAES to MMS -> message data
1148945382, 11:29:42, 41086, MMS to CAES -> message dataNote: Large quantities of data may be written to the DiagMsgeLog file when these keys are enabled. Therefore, enabling MMS message reports should be reserved for test and fault detection only.ReferenceFor additional information about the keys in this section, refer to Systems Operation,
