Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the steering lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Lock - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position. Disconnect harness assembly (3). Remove bolts (1). Remove lift position sensor (2) .

Remove bolt (6). Remove plate assembly (4) .
Disconnect harness assembly (8). Remove bolts (5). Remove lift position sensor (7) .Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Position lift position sensor (7). Install bolts (5). Connect harness assembly (8). Install plate assembly (4). Install bolt (6).

Install lift position sensor (2). Install bolts (1). Connect harness assembly (3). Turn the power disconnect switch to the on position. End By: Install the steering lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Lock - Install".
