Operation
The lift kickout mechanism automatically moves the lift control valve spool and lever from RAISE (detent) position to HOLD position when the bucket gets to the desired dump height. Signal plate (1) is connected to the lift arm assembly. Adjustment of signal plate (1) changes the contact point of the signal plate with pin (2) which changes the dump height of the bucket. Lift lever (5) is connected to the lift control valve spool in the oil tank and the lift control lever in the cab.
LIFT KICKOUT MECHANISM IN KICKOUT POSITION
1. Signal plate. 2. Pin. 3. Lever. 4. Lever. 5. Lift lever. 6. Rod assembly. When the lift control lever is moved to the RAISE detent position, the lift control valve spool moves up from HOLD position into the RAISE detent. The lift cylinders will now extend and cause the lift arm assembly to lift. When the high point (lobe) of signal plate (1) comes in contact with pin (2), levers (3) and (4) will turn in a clockwise direction. Rod assembly (6) moves lift lever (5) in a clockwise direction which causes the lift control valve spool to move out of the detent. The springs on the spool cause the spool and the lift control lever to move to HOLD position. This stops the movement of the lift cylinders which stops the movement of the lift arm assembly at the correct dump height.Adjustment Procedure
LIFT KICKOUT ADJUSTMENT (Right Side View)
1. Signal plate. 2. Cam pin. 3. Lever. 4. Lever. 5. Pin. 6. Lift lever. 7. Rod assembly.1. Remove pin (5).2. Move signal plate (1) to the lift kickout position [maximum clockwise position of lever (3)].3. Move lift lever (6) (counterclockwise) to the raise detent.4. Adjust the length of rod assembly (7) until the pin holes of lever (4) and the rod assembly are in alignment.5. Make rod assembly (7) shorter by four turns. Put lift lever (6) in the spring-centered position and install pin (5).6. Lift the bucket to the desired height.7. Make a mark (8) on the lift arm opposite the high point of cam pin (2). [Cam pin (2) is part of lever (3).]8. Lower the bucket.
LIFT KICKOUT ADJUSTMENT (Front View)
1. Signal plate. 2. Cam pin. 3. Lever. 4. Lever. 8. Mark.9. Move signal plate (1) until the lobe (high point of the signal plate) is in alignment with mark (8) on the lift arm.10. Tighten the bolts that hold the signal plate in position.
