Removal Procedure

Open door (1) .
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove nut (3) , ground cable (4) , harness assemblies, (2) and cable (5) .

Remove nut (6) and cable (7).

Remove harness assemblies (8) .The weight of electric starting motor (10) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb). Remove bolts (9). Use two people and remove electric starting motor (10) and the gasket.Installation Procedure
Install electric starting motor (10) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 30 4 N m (23 3 lb ft) .
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 30 4 N m (23 3 lb ft) .
