Check the condition of all O-ring seals and of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 1. Install Tooling (A) to differential and bevel gear (16). Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to Tooling (A). The weight of differential and bevel gear (16) is 600 kg (1323 lb).2. Install O-ring seal (18) to differential and bevel gear (16). 3. Install differential and bevel gear (16). Install two 20 mm - 2.5 x 120 mm bolts (12) and the washers to hold differential and bevel gear (16) to the rear axle housing. Remove Tooling (A). 4. Install 43 bolts (13), the washers and bracket (14). Remove two bolts (12), the washers and install the two remaining bolts and the washers. Tighten 45 bolts (13) to a torque of 210 30 N*m (155 22 lb ft) then turn an additional 120 10 degrees.5. Install yoke (15). 6. Install the O-ring seal to thrust pin (3). Push thrust pin (3) into the front axle housing. 7. Install cover (2) on the rear axle housing without the shims and install four bolts (1) and the washers. Tighten four bolts (1) and the washers enough to remove the end play between thrust pin (3) and cover (2).8. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between cover (2) and the rear axle housing. Record this measurement. Use this measurement to determine the correct thickness of the required shims. 9. Install four bolts (1), the washers, cover (2) and a thickness of shims that will establish a -0.03 mm (-0.001 inch) preload to a 0.03 mm (0.001 inch) end play for thrust pin (3). Tighten four bolts (1) to a torque of 100 20 N*m (75 15 lb ft). 10. Install slack adjuster (6), two bolts (7), the washers and the hoses.11. Install bracket (11), clamp assembly (10), manifold block (9), two bolts (8), the washers and the hoses. 12. Connect four hose assemblies (4). 13. Connect four hose assemblies (5). End By:a.
