to replacement of the EMS control, ensure that replacement is necessary. Rarely is the EMS control the cause of a fault. Always check that power is available to the EMS control. Battery voltage is required between EMS connector contacts 1 and 2 of the machine harness connector.
Turn the disconnect and key start switches to the OFF position. Disconnect the machine harness from the EMS control.
Remove the EMS control from the dash.Note: There are four threaded studs on the rear used for mounting.
Make sure that the replacement control has the correct part number.
Install the correct new face film on the EMS control. See the Parts Book for the machine being serviced.
Install the replacement EMS control.
Connect the machine harness to the EMS control.
Turn the disconnect and key start switches to the ON position. Perform the Output Test.
