Information:

1. Start the machine, and turn the tractor so it is at a right angle (90 degrees) to the scraper. On 623F Elevating Wheel Tractor-Scrapers, remove the implement and elevator pumps. These operations are in the 623F Elevating Wheel Tractor-Scrapers Machine Systems Disassembly & Assembly module, Form No. SENR6809. 2. Remove two drain plugs (1), and drain the oil from the transmission into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the transmission is 80 liters (20.8 U.S. gal). Remove drain plug (2), and drain the oil from the differential case into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the differential case is 132 liters (34.3 U.S gal). 3. Disconnect electrical connector (3). Remove the bolt and clip (4), and disconnect wire (5). Remove two bolts (6), and remove guard (7). 4. Remove the bolt and clip (8). Disconnect wire (9). 5. Fasten Tool (A) to power train guard assembly (10). Remove the bolts that hold the power train guard assembly in position. Remove the power train guard assembly. The weight of the power train guard assembly is 141 kg (310 lb). 6. Remove three bolts (11), and remove cover (12). 7. Remove two bolts (13), the washers and the plate from the end of the drive shaft. Remove retaining ring (14). 8. Install one 3/8 " - 16 NC bolt (16) into the end of drive shaft (15) in the threaded holes provided. Using the bolt, slowly pull the drive shaft partially out of the transfer gear case assembly. The weight of the drive shaft is 29 kg (65 lb). Using two persons, remove the drive shaft from the transfer gear case assembly. 9. Remove four bolts (19), and remove guard (20). 10. Remove clip (21), and disconnect wire harness (22). 11. Disconnect two wire harnesses (23). Remove the two bolt and clips (24). Remove nine bolts and clips (26). Move wire harnesses (25) out of the way.12. Remove the bolts that hold bracket (27). Remove the bracket, and move the bracket and hoses out of the way. 13. Remove eight bolts (28) and the two flanges. Remove two tube assemblies (29). 14. Remove bolt (30), and remove three nuts (31). Remove manifold (32). Remove the O-ring seals from the manifold. 15. Remove two sleeves (33). Remove the O-ring seals from each end of the sleeves. 16. Fasten Tooling (B) and a hoist to the transfer gears, torque converter and transmission as shown. 17. Disconnect hose assembly (34). Remove eighteen nuts (35), and remove three bolts (36). Do not remove two nuts (37) that hold the differential in the differential case.18. Remove the transfer gears, torque converter and transmission as a unit. The weight of the unit is 1134 kg (2500 lb). 19. Remove three small O-ring seals (38). Remove large O-ring seal (39).Install Transfer Gears, Torque Converter & Transmission
