Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Apply Tooling (B) to the seams of the engine block, front plate, and front housing.

Install a new gasket (4). Connect tube assembly (5) while you are positioning oil pan (3). Install bolts (2) .
Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Change". Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities - Refill".

Typical Example
Attach a suitable lifting device to engine (1). The weight of engine (1) is approximately 454 kg (1001 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove engine (1) from Tooling (A) .End By: Install the flywheel housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel Housing - Remove and Install".
