Crushing hazard exists between dozer blade and front of machine when engine is running and blade is being operated. Stay clear of this area while engine is running and blade is being operated. Can cause serious injury or death.
Place the blade control lever in the float Position.Note: There should be a screw adjustment range of about 1/16 of a turn when the blade lowers and when the blade does not lower. If necessary, repeat Step 16 through Step 23.

(90) counterbalance valve (91) locknut (92) adjustment screw
Once the proper range is achieved, loosen the locknut (91) on the adjustment screw (92) for the counterbalance valve (90). Turn the adjustment screw (92) for the counterbalance valve (90) clockwise about 1/8 turn. Tighten the locknut (91) .
Install the radiator grill on the machine.Counterbalance Valve Adjustment For G Series
Start the engine and allow the machine's hydraulic oil to reach the normal operating temperature.
Raise the blade approximately 75 mm (3 inch) from the ground.
Shut off the engine.

Use a small 9 mm (3/8 inch) HEX wrench to manually command the grade control valve to move the blade to the lower position. Rotate the hex nut (93) toward the valve in order to manually control the lift valve. Rotate the hex nut (94) toward the valve in order to manually control the tilt valve.
Loosen the locknut (96) on the adjustment screw for the counterbalance valve.
Turn adjustment screw (95) for the counterbalance valve slowly until the blade begins to lower.
Then turn the adjustment (95) screw in the opposite direction until the blade stops falling. This should be approximately 1/4 of a turn.

Tighten the locknut (96) .
Return the valve for the grade control from the full blade LOWER position to the NEUTRAL.
